The Scanstation works with any scanner that has a compliant TWAIN or ISIS driver, including high speed MFDs and multi-page document scanners with Automatic Document Feeders (ADF).
Image files (including adobe PDF files) can also be 'captured' from a disc location. This is partcularly useful when the Scanstation is combined with high speed Multifunction devices that can scan to a network location [scan to folder].

| Batch Processing Mode |

Using the Scanstation in batch mode you can re-arrange pages, delete pages or insert additional pages.
Multipage TIFs can be split into small documents or combined. This enables documents to be scanned and electronically sorted.

Once an image has been captured, you can perform document clean-up using the following features:

Scanstations high performance page viewer allows you to zoom in/out and pan around the page with ease. | |
| OCR & Automatic Template Matching |

Scanstation can convert paper documents into fully text searchable Adobe PDF documents, ready for distribution.
Using the Auto Template matching feature, the OCR engine can also automatically identify what type of document is being processed and automatically populate index fields by reading the information directly from the image.

| Autofile and Autoname Documents |

Scanstation can save scanned documents directly into the correct folder using 'Auto-File' and 'Auto-Title'.
Based on the index values given to the document FILESTAR will locate the correct folder and store the document. If a folder does not exist it will create it. | |
